Routines
Forest School
Don't forget your wellies or old shoes and a warm, waterproof coat every Monday as we go outdoors whatever the weather!
P.E and Games
Children will have a mixture of indoor and outdoor PE every Tuesday. Please send the children in their PE kit as they will not be able to change their clothes in school. Please remember that no jewellery is allowed to be worn.
Reading
Please support your child by ensuring that they read regularly at home. We are using the reading eggs app and will send reading books home every Tuesday to be returned to school every Monday.
Spellings
Spelling tests are every Monday morning and new spelling words are sent home on Tuesdays. Please take the time to help your child learn their spellings at home each week.
Homework
We are using a mixture of myMaths and paper homework for maths homework and new tasks will be set every Monday on mymaths or sent home with the spellings and reading books on Tuesdays if it's paper based homework. Please complete by the following Monday.
Parents can also help by doing simple mental maths activities such as counting on and back in ones, twos, fives and tens (threes and fours for the year 3 children), discussing odd and even numbers, looking at numbers up to and beyond 100, simple addition and subtraction problems and looking at coins and making amounts to £2.
